Introducing the new Report Format for Pre-16 and Renewing your APC

This one day course includes changes to the report formats issued by SASC recently introduced and for use from 1st July 2019. We will look at the pre-16 format and the changes from the original format.   We will discuss the new guidance document that accompanies the revised format and the implications for specialist assessors. It will also cover tips and hints for a successful APC renewal.

Accredited Level 5 - Certificate in Dyslexia; Literacy, Support and Intervention

The BDA Level 5 Certificate in Dyslexia; Literacy, Support is the first step toward becoming a dyslexia specialist and is often regarded as the first step towards a Level 7 AMBDA approved programme. Candidates who have completed the Level 5 certificate will have enough knowledge to deliver specialist tuition to individuals requiring support with dyslexia.

Accredited Level 4 - Workplace Assessors Programme (WAP - in person training)

The BDA delivers a Level 4 accredited programme to train work-based assessors. On successful completion of the programme, participants will be able to assess individuals with dyslexia or other Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) for adjustments within the workplace. The aim of the programme is to provide the necessary knowledge and skill for delegates to be able to perform this role and includes the appropriate research and applications in this area.

This programme is designed for Teachers and TAs working with children and young people who want to be able to support dyslexic pupils within the classroom and is intended to provide a greater understanding of the problems that dyslexic learners face, and appropriate methods and resources to help support them within the context of their learning environment.
