The British Dyslexia Association is the largest national charity in the UK  supporting those with dyslexia, their families, teachers and employers. Our aim is to achieve a dyslexia friendly society where every dyslexic individual is able to reach their full potential.

The British Dyslexia Association  is primarily a membership organisation, our membership fees and fundraising enable the BDA to carry out our activities to lobby government and create changes in society as a knowedgeable voice of dyslexics.

There are 4 different types of Membership to suit our different types of members.

  • Individual Membership
    For individuals wishing to support the BDA and keep updated with all BDA activities.
  • Organisational Membership: Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum
    Organisational Membership (OM) is for businesses, industry and service organisations and eductional establishments wishing to support the BDA and keep updated with all BDA activites.
  • Professional Membership
    Professional Membership is for those who hold BDA Accreditation or equivalent, and who wish to have their professional status recognised and support the BDA and keep updated with BDA activities.
  • Local Dyslexia Associations (LDAs)
    There are approximately 50 regionally based Local Dyslexia Associations, they are independent charities based throughout England and Wales, that support the BDA because of our shared and common goals,
