Accredited Level 2 - Practical Solutions for Hidden Difficulties

This programme is intended to provide a greater understanding of dyslexia, along with a range of some of the more commonly diagnosed learning difficulties including: Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD); Attention Deficit and Attention Deficit Hyper Activity (ADD/ADHD); Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia. For each of these SpLDs the possible causes, signs and indicators and possible support strategies are explored.

The aim of this eLearning module is to enable teachers and parents to support the multilingual dyslexic individual in learning an additional curriculum language. That is, for example, in the UK a child may have Welsh as their first language, use English in the classroom, but also have to learn French. The materials for this module have been developed as part of a project, funded with support from the European Commission.

Introducing the new Report Formats for Pre & Post 16 and Renewing your APC

This training explores the changes to the report formats issued by SASC and for use from 1st July 2019. We will look at both the Pre and Post 16 formats and the changes from the original formats. We will discuss the new guidance document that accompanies the revised formats and the implications for specialist assessors. In the afternoon the emphasis will be on renewing your APC and tips and hints for a successful renewal.We will look at new tests and help answer some of your questions, if you are worried about your impending renewal. NB the old formats can still be used for renewals of an APC until 1st July 2020.
