Melanie Parker - Head of Fundraising

Mel joined the British Dyslexia Association in 2022 and has worked in the charity sector for the last 13 years. Prior to joining the BDA, Mel spent five years as Head of Challenge Events and Supporter Engagement at a national children’s charity, where she worked on very varied projects, from leading groups trekking up Mount Toubkal, working alongside teams of company volunteers and being part of national TV campaigns and much more.

As the Head of Fundraising, she is working to establish a stable and ambitious growth in income to allow the organisation to expand its charitable work and projects.
