Financial Support
Unfortunately, there is not usually any direct funding for diagnostic assessments in schools, colleges or other settings, generally, assessments have to be paid for by the person, parent, or employer. As dyslexia and dyscalculia are not medical conditions, a diagnostic assessment is not covered by the NHS.
Bursaries
From time to time, and subject to available funding, the British Dyslexia Association can offer bursaries to individuals to support them with the cost of accessing diagnostic assessments.
We aim to extend our bursary programme to be able to support more families.
Funding
As a charity, we will now actively pursue funding from grant-funding trusts and foundations. We believe we have a compelling case to put to funders and hope we will be able to offer more bursaries in the future. To do this, we invite contributions from individuals, companies, and grant makers. These donations will enable a greater number of bursaries to be awarded to those in need.

Subsidised dyslexia assessments to ICE members and their dependents
The ICE Benevolent Fund offers financial support for civil engineers (ICE) members pursuing a dyslexia assessment.
We have collaborated with the ICE Benevolent Fund. (Institution of Civil Engineers) A service provided for all civil engineers who are or have been, members of ICE and for their families.
ICE members worldwide can pursue a dyslexia assessment at significantly subsidised costs.
