Professional Membership options

Professional Membership is for those who hold a BDA accreditation or equivalent, and who wish to have their professional status recognised. Student membership is for post-graduate students registered on a course leading to a specialist qualification approved by the BDA Accreditation Board.

Benefits include:

  • One copy of the BDA's Dyslexia Contact magazine, 3 times a year
  • BDA enewsletter, 3 times per year
  • Invitation to the BDA Annual General Meeting and Members' Day
  • Consultation on key policy issues (via elected representative)
  • Membership of a Local Dyslexia Association (subject to individual LDA agreement)

AMBDA

Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association is for those who have completed an AMBDA accredited course or equivalent and is required for all those applying for or holding an APC with the BDA.

Professional Membership

£68.00

This membership is for those who hold BDA accreditation Approved Teacher/Practitioner Status (ATS/APS,); Approved Teacher/Practitioner Status Dyscalculia (ATD/APD),; Approved Tutor Status, Further & Higher Education (ATS FE/HE); or a Teaching Practising Certificate (TPC) but do not hold AMBDA.

Dyslexia Contact is our official magazine, it is published three times a year and is available exclusively to our members.

Dyslexia Contact is a lively, visual publication written in a dyslexia-friendly style that aims to provide impartial, practical information and advice for issues related to dyslexia. It is suitable for all with an interest in dyslexia including dyslexic people, parents, professionals and organisations.
