Our Trustees

Delia Hazell

I have worked in education all my life, as a primary school teacher for over twenty years and then as a specialist in teaching and assessing children with Specific Learning Differences.

I started volunteering for my local dyslexia association down here in Cornwall thirty years ago when a member of my family was diagnosed with dyslexia. At the time I was so grateful for the advice, guidance and support I received.

I have been a trustee of Dyslexia Cornwall for a number of years, working closely with the local authority on their IDFS+( Inclusive Dyslexia Friendly Schools) initiative.

I have been a trustee of The British Dyslexia Association since 2019. I want the charity to lead the way in raising awareness of dyslexia, by campaigning for change in our society so that all dyslexic individuals have the opportunity and support to thrive.
