British Dyslexia Association Smart Award presented to A2i Dyslexia and Exchequer Accountancy

Friday 26 July 2019

More great organisations have had their work to embrace dyslexia recognised with British Dyslexia Association Smart Award. Our CEO Helen Boden had the pleasure of presenting the award to A2i Dyslexia and Exchequer Accountancy.

A2i Dyslexia is a CIC based in Wandsworth working with dyslexics in the local community and their families to give direct support and signpost them to services.

Elizabeth Takyi, CEO of A2i Dyslexia, said:

“A2i Dyslexia was very honoured to have received the British Dyslexia Smart Award. Elizabeth Takyi, the founder of A2i Dyslexia, was diagnosed with dyslexia, dysculicalia, dyspraxia and ireln syndrome in her adulthood. Receiving the BDA Smart Award was the icing on the cake to encourage other dyslexics to believe that they can go on and achieve amazing things in life and make a change. We want to thank CEO Helen Boden for believing in the work we do and thank the team at BDA for the recognition.”

Exchequer Accountancy is a Chester based accountants working with hundreds of clients in the construction sector with dyslexia, so they take a keen interest in providing them with the dyslexia friendly support – making life easier for their clients and business sense for them.

Emily Lightfoot, Exchequer Accountancy, said:

“Exchequer Accountancy are delighted to have achieved the Smart Award. We can’t wait to continue working with the BDA to ensure the way we work with our clients is accessible to everyone. It’s a great initiative and we would encourage other companies to take part."

Helen Boden, CEO of British Dyslexia Association, said:

“A2i Dyslexia and Exchequer Accountancy are shining examples of organisations doing the best work to embrace dyslexia. Smart Award is the perfect way for their achievements to be recognised and it was my honour to present the award to them.”
