Jo Shilton

SpLD Assessor and SEND Consultant - SEND Pathways

Jo works independently as a Specialist SpLD Assessor and SEND Consultant across a range of school settings. She has been assessing children and young people for dyslexia for over 20 years, and she also has extensive experience as both a secondary school SENCO and coordinator of a Local Authority specialist teaching team. 

Currently, Jo also works with the BDA’s APC accreditation team and as an assessor on a Level 7 course for those training to become exam access arrangements assessors.
