Nichola Evans - Dyscalculia Specialist Teacher Assessor - Accessible Maths Tuition & Assessment
Nichola is an independent dyscalculia assessor and specialist maths tutor with over twenty years’ experience in education. Throughout this work she encountered many learners whose mathematical difficulties were misunderstood or unsupported, which led her to specialise in dyscalculia and maths‑related SpLDs.
As a specialist assessor, Nichola now works with children, young people, and adults to identify SpLD in mathematics & Dyscalculia and provide clear, strengths‑based guidance for support. Her tuition practice focuses on learners with dyscalculia, maths anxiety, and persistent difficulties with number, offering highly individualised, multisensory programmes that emphasise
emotional safety, concrete understanding, and confidence building.
Alongside her assessment and tutoring work, Nichola trains educational practitioners to develop inclusive maths classrooms and to recognise and support learners with SpLDs in mathematics. She also delivers professional training on identifying and responding to maths difficulties and dyscalculia, helping educators and organisations create environments where all learners can thrive.
