Course Description
The course supports specialist assessors in using the RIAS-2 in line with SASC diagnostic assessment and report-writing guidance. It covers the range of RIAS-2 subtests and how they can be used for diagnostic assessments, examination access arrangements, and to help inform appropriate interventions.
This course is most appropriate for Level 7 specialist assessors who own the RIAS-2 or have access to this assessment tool.
Outcomes
- Understand the purpose and structure of the RIAS-2 and its role in SASC-compliant diagnostic assessments
- Select and use appropriate RIAS-2 subtests for diagnostic assessment, examination access arrangements, and informing intervention
- Interpret and analyse RIAS-2 results accurately
- Apply SASC guidance when writing up RIAS-2 findings in diagnostic reports
