Professional Membership options
Professional Membership of the BDA is for those who have completed a BDA Accredited course at Level 5 or 7 within the last 3 years. Or hold an up to date BDA accreditation at ATS/APS or AMBDA level.
We offer Professional Affiliate Membership for associated professionals; see the description below.
Professional Student membership is for Level 5 and post-graduate (Level 7) students registered on a course leading to a specialist teacher/assessor qualification accredited by the BDA Accreditation Team.
Fees are paid annually and are non-refundable.

Professional Membership
This membership type is for those who have completed a BDA Accredited course at Level 5 or 7 within the last 3 years. Or hold an up to date BDA accreditation at ATS/APS or AMBDA level. Please upload your completed BDA tutor form or current BDA accreditation certificate. Please note, we do not accept OCN or Gateway certificates as evidence, it must be a tutor form.

- Eligible to be on the BDA online Tutor List, which now includes the option to upload a photo of yourself and create a biography.

- Access to members website area, including a resources library
- Online Professional Networking Meetings three times a year as outlined in your members area
- An online CPD log to record your professional activities
- Up to one CPD verified free of charge each year to renew your accreditation. Multiple accreditations being renewed in one year can be submitted on one form and be counted as one free CPD review
Professional Student Membership
This is for students in the UK only who are currently on a BDA level 5 or 7 accredited course.

Professional Affiliate Membership
This membership is for allied SpLD professions; Educational, Clinical and Chartered Psychologists; Speech & Language Therapists with a HCPC registration. Also, workplace needs assessors and SENCo's.
