Accredited Workplace Needs Assessor (AWNA)

Accredited Workplace Needs Assessor (AWNA) accreditation is designed for workplace assessors and coaches who have successfully completed a Level 4 qualification in workplace assessment or workplace coaching. It recognises the knowledge, skills and confidence required to provide effective, evidence-informed support for individuals with dyslexia and other specific learning differences within workplace settings.

AWNA accreditation provides formal recognition of specialist expertise and demonstrates a commitment to delivering high-quality workplace assessments and recommendations that enable individuals to perform effectively in their roles. Holding AWNA accreditation allows practitioners to showcase their professional competence, enhance their credibility, and provide assurance to employers, organisations and clients that they have completed recognised training in workplace assessment and support.

This accreditation is intended for practitioners who have completed a BDA approved Level 4 Workplace Needs Assessor or Workplace Coach qualification and wish to gain professional recognition for their skills and expertise.

Maintaining your AWNA accreditation

To maintain AWNA accreditation and ensure practitioners remain up to date with current guidance, legislation and best practice in workplace support, accreditation is renewed every three years through the submission of a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) log. This process supports ongoing professional learning and helps practitioners continue to deliver effective, informed workplace assessments and support.
