Volunteers’ Week 2021

Tuesday 1 June 2021

We’re celebrating all of the volunteers and people who support the British Dyslexia Association.

We’re celebrating all of the volunteers and people who support the British Dyslexia Association.

As a charity for over six million people with dyslexia and co-occurring differences, we are dependent on the incredible generosity of our supporters and especially our volunteers.

We are a charity led by volunteers (our trustees) and much of what we do is developed by volunteers and often delivered by volunteers. We have committees, membership groups, Local Associations and many people who voluntarily share their experiences. Together, they help us to highlight the challenges that people with dyslexia may face, especially in education and workplaces. They also show us the amazing minds of dyslexic thinkers, changing the perception of dyslexia so its benefits are recognised.

Ultimately, our volunteers help us to get closer to a world that welcomes thinking differently and where there are no barriers to what people with dyslexia can achieve.

At the British Dyslexia Association, we try to show our appreciation to our volunteers in a variety of ways and believe in the importance of regularly thanking all of these volunteers who generously donate their time, skills and experience, and share our passion in helping us achieve great things for the dyslexic community. Volunteers’ Week allows us to formally recognise the contribution and support of our wonderful volunteers.

Whatever your volunteer role, we are extremely grateful for your support and would like to thank you on behalf of the British Dyslexia Association and all of the people affected by dyslexia to whom you make a huge difference.

Thank you!
