Bath Half 2025 Heroes!
Monday 17 March 2025

Congratulations to our brilliant Bath Half runners who took on the UK’s only World Heritage City on Sunday and ran an astonishing 13.1 miles in the beautiful city of Bath in support of the BDA.
Despite a very busy start to the day, the atmosphere was buzzing! Just like last year, we set up at our cheer point by Green Park, which meant we were able to cheer our runners on at mile 8 and mile 12. I’m always so in awe of the dedication and perseverance that is shown by our incredible runners, it was such a joy to see them sprinting past on the first lap and pushing themselves forward in the second.

There are so many reasons why our team chose to run for us. For one runner it was because her wonderful son was recently diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia and the knock on affect on his self-confidence was huge. For another, it was to raise awareness of the unique strengths (or the "superpowers!") dyslexia has brought to him, and to his family. All of them had a common goal though - to help bring about a more inclusive society where dyslexic people, of all ages, need not feel "stupid" but instead are given the right tools and support to thrive.
The team raised an incredible £3,950 to help bring about a more dyslexia friendly society. From everyone at the BDA, and all who will benefit from your brilliant efforts;
THANK YOU!!
