Congratulations to Dyslexia Cornwall

Thursday 2 February 2023

We would like to wish Dyslexia Cornwall a Happy Birthday on their 30th anniversary.
Dyslexia Cornwall was originally set up in 1991 by a small group of concerned parents. The children of this founding group are all well into their 30’s now with dyslexic families of their own!

30th Birthday celebrations

"We had a wonderful party with past and present staff, trustees and volunteers."

People’s Postcode Lottery Funding

We are delighted to have been awarded funding from the People’s Postcode Local Trust. Postcode Local Trust is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. This has enabled us to employ an Administrator, reducing the workload of our volunteers and enabling us to better highlight our services and raise awareness of Dyslexia, both in schools, work environments and across the community.

Dyslexia Cornwall have two new Trustees on board who both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Sandra Page
worked for many years as a Dyslexia Advisor for the Cornwall Council’s Cognition and Learning Team. She built strong links with Dyslexia Cornwall and together we set up the Dyslexia Friendly Schools quality mark.

Sam Edmonds is a Speech and Language Therapist and Dyslexia Specialist who brings 20 years’ experience working for the NHS in schools, as well as independently.
