Amanda Hornby - British Dyslexia Association Onsite Trainer
Since 2009, Amanda has been employed in the education sector, primarily focusing on secondary students with special needs. She holds the title of a qualified Specialist Dyslexia Tutor and is authorised to conduct assessments for Exam Access Arrangements and Visual Discomfort Screening. Additionally, she has completed her training for her Assessor Practising Certificate and holds a Postgraduate Certificate Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). Currently, she serves as a Specialist Dyslexia Trainer at the British Dyslexia Association, where she provides bespoke training to various workplaces and educational institutions.
Outside of her professional commitments, Amanda dedicates her free time to serving as the treasurer for the St Helens And District Dyslexia Association (SHADDA). During her leisure hours, Amanda indulges in activities such as salsa dancing, enjoying music and podcasts, and painting.
