Dyslexia in Education: Understanding Hidden Difficulties - Secondary Schools
This free training for educators in Kent and East Sussex will provide the opportunity to increase dyslexia awareness and inclusive practice.

Funded by the Bedgebury Foundation, this training will cover:
• Understanding what dyslexia is and how it presents in the classroom
• How it feels to be dyslexic and the emotional impact of dyslexia
• Practical approaches for supporting dyslexic children to achieve their potential
• Dyslexia inclusive practice for whole classes and settings
• Using assistive technology
This training will be relevant for any staff working within education settings including teachers, teaching assistants, SENCOs, senior leadership and wider support staff. There are separate sessions for primary and secondary schools, and in these, the content will be relevant for mainstream, special school and alternative provision.
CPD information: a CPD certificate will be sent to attendees after the event.
