APC Route 3

Teachers who have ATS/APS or equivalent, have a background in SpLD Theory and Teaching Practice (but not at AMBDA level) and have completed a course specifically geared to understanding the principles of assessment can apply for an Assessment Practising Certificate via Route Three (APC R3). This route is for those who have completed a CCET and have additional SASC training for example, Dyslexia Professional Report Writing course

ATS/APS courses do not, by default, contain the degree of specialist training necessary for candidates to be eligible for an Assessment Practising Certificate. Therefore evidence of a SASC accredited course, providing additional training in diagnostic assessment and report writing is required.
