CE Trust Bursary

Project rationale

As the national voice for people with dyslexia, the British Dyslexia Association is committed to having a diverse tutor community to reflect and serve the diverse needs of people with dyslexia.

We recognise that potential tutors from African, Caribbean and Asian backgrounds experience barriers to recruitment on training courses.

As part of our wider work on cultural perspectives and inclusion, the British Dyslexia Association is offering a bursary to Black and Asian candidates wishing to gain a recognised Level 5 or Level 7 qualification in Dyslexia Support and/or Assessment.

Please click on the downloads below to read more about this unique opportunity if you:

  • identify as Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic*
  • are based in London
  • have experience of supporting learners in an education setting (children or adults) and
  • would like to gain a qualification that would help you transform the lives of some of our most vulnerable learners
