Urgent: APPG postponed

Please read the email below from Sharon Hodgson MP, about the next APPG meeting for dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties. We shall post details of the revised date as soon as possible, on the APPG page of our website.

Good Afternoon,

I hope this email finds you well. Unfortunately, I am writing to let you know that the meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Dyslexia & Other Specific Learning Difficulties, scheduled to take place on Wednesday 13th of June at 2pm has been postponed.

Room Bookings in Parliament are often moved or changed at the last minute due to Government Committees taking priority. The room that we had booked is no longer available, and there are no other suitable rooms that we could have moved to at the same time.

I am extremely disappointed as the meeting had a fantastic agenda with some really interesting speakers. I understand that you may have booked travel in advance of this meeting, and that the cancellation of the meeting will be extremely frustrating.

As soon we have found a suitable future date, I will email you to let you know. We are going to look into perhaps changing the day of the week and timing that we usually aim for, in order to prevent this situation from happening again in the future.

I would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused you, and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

For any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Jack Mayorcas in my office on jackb.mayorcas@parliament.uk.

Yours sincerely,

Sharon Hodgson MP

Member of Parliament for Washington and Sunderland West

Shadow Minister for Public Health

Chair, APPG on Dyslexia and Other Specific Learning Difficulties
