DAW Competition 2017

Our panel of judges including Lord Addington the President of the BDA were very impressed with the quality of the written work and the creativity of the art and photography. They were also impressed with the video productions and impressed that those so young could produce them. Well done to everybody that entered we hope you all enjoyed it. Certificates for all entries are on their way to you.

The BDA invites entries for our annual Dyslexia Awareness Week competition. This competition is only open to individuals with dyslexia.

There are three categories this year:

● Artists (including photography and graphic design):
Age Categories: 5-11 years, 12-17 years, and 18+

● Writers (including fiction, non-fiction and poetry):
Age Categories: 5-11 years, 12-17 years, and 18+

Videos (short 30 seconds to 2 minutes video film) These can be sent to Claire@BDA  via WhatsApp on 07917 390288  Age Categories: 5-11 years, 12-17 years, and 18+

The theme for 2017 is Positive about Dyslexia.

We would like entrants to interpret the theme in their own way.

We are restricting the size of entries (to A5) and details of how to enter can also be found within the DAW Resource Packs.

Deadline for entries is Wednesday 11th October 2017.

A panel of judges will select the winner for each category. Please note, we are unable to accept photos of entries therefore all must be submitted as originals by post.
