Webinar: Some thoughts on teaching Maths to students who find Maths difficult

Time: 7.30pm – 8.30pm

The BDA are delighted to work with Professor Steve Chinn on this fascinating webinar offering thoughts, insights and ideas around teaching mathematics.

This webinar will explain some of the many factors that contribute to making maths difficult, such as poor recall of basic facts - especially ‘times tables’ - and levels of anxiety that demotivate learners.

It will illustrate how maths builds and how you can learn to use what you know to work out what you don’t know by using a consistent, developmental approach.

The underlying principle is Dr Margaret Rawson’s, one of the USA’s pioneers of dyslexia, with the famous saying, ‘Teach the subject as it is to the learners as they are.'

There will be a chance to ask questions at the end and we provide a CPD certificate!
