Course Accreditation
BDA course accreditation will normally be granted for four years. This is contingent on the Board's approval of any significant changes to the course or its personnel during that time. It is the responsibility of the course leader to inform the Board of any changes in order to retain BDA accreditation. If you do not comply with this you may lose your BDA accreditation.
Accreditation Process
- Upon receipt of your submission it will be acknowledged.
- The BDA office will contact members of the Accreditation Board requesting a Liaison team for the submission. Once we have a team we will provide the submission to them in hard copy.
- The BDA office will then let the course provider who is applying know who their Liaison team is and that we have provided the course submission to them for review. The BDA will then give you the email addresses of the Liaison team should you wish to communicate with them.
- The Liaison team will either communicate back to the course provider directly or the BDA office.
- There is no set time for the course accreditation process, we aim to accredit courses as soon as possible and will work with you to ensure this.
Your liaison team will remain in place and you should consult them if you have any queries arising during your accredited period.
Shortly before your accredited period is due to lapse, we will contact and invite you to apply for formal reaccreditation. Reaccreditation is charged at the same rate as new accreditations:
- AMBDA and ATS -£175 plus VAT
- AMBDA FE/HE and ATS FE/HE - £175 plus VAT
- AMBDA Numeracy - £175 plus VAT
- ALSA - £100 plus VAT
- Mainstream - £100 plus VAT
