Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is a requirement for anyone with an Assessment Practising Certificate to be covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance whilst assessing. Some individuals undertaking assessments will be covered by their employer’s insurance and should check this directly with their employer. Those working privately will need to take out their own cover. Those undertaking private teaching or training are also strongly advised to be insured for their professional practice.

Individuals are free to get cover from any provider. The BDA has discussed the above needs with Manning UK, and have negotiated very competitive prices for BDA members.
