CDC (Council for Disabled Children)

CDC (Council for Disabled Children) is an organisation that promotes the importance of giving young people and children a voice so that they can speak out about their experiences but also comment on the way in which policies and decisions affect their everyday lives.

Their website offers help and advice to the key people that work and support young people such as parents, local authorities, social workers and health professionals. It provides links to a wide spectrum of other helpful organisations.

One of the aims is to make accessible some of the issues that surround the SEND code of Practice and the special education needs and disability code of practice 0-25 and to highlight some of the key changes that have taken place over the past 5 years.

CDC promotes the importance of positive experiences of education for children and young people and encourages us all to challenge and support them to reach their full potential.
