Dysarticulate 2 Open Weekend for the 2012 Olympics -

22nd to 24th July 2011

London 2012 Open Weekend incorporates arts, cultural, sporting and environmental initiatives. Participants are asked to embrace the Olympic and Paralympic values as well as the 3 core values of the Cultural Olympiad and set themselves and their audiences/participants a challenge in the build up to the 2012 Games.

This year’s audacious aim for 'Dysarticulate 2' led by
Jon Adams, artist in residence at the University of Portsmouth is to 'engage' artists and audiences, creating and planting 'paper flags' recycled from book pages. These will be woven into a series of in sync public ‘emplacement’ events reflecting the real issues around disability, our fragility and the nature of Public art.
