Checklist for Accrediting ALSA Courses.

The following information should be used as a guide to BDA accreditation of your course. If you experience any problems, please contact your Accreditation Board Liaison Team.

  1. Detailed CVs of the course leaders, lecturers or tutors.

  3. The course reading list and recommended teaching materials and assessment tests.

  5. Detailed lecture programme to clarify the time allotted to various topics.

  7. Specification of the hours for tutorials and seminars.

  9. Extents and nature of assignments.

  11. Standards of performance criteria by which observed support of a minimum of 1 pupil, will judged. These should be devised by the course leader.

  13. Pro-formas on which to record the observed support session. Mentors in the workplace to be given on how to complete these.

  15. Practical assignments for the observation of a support session under the guidance of the mentor.
