Volunteer at the BDA

A volunteer with the BDA may be part of the team working in Helpline, part of the Operations team, providing administrative support to the organisation or working on a special project run by the BDA.

Volunteers are an invaluable resource to the BDA. You can find a list of important volunteer opportunities at the BDA here.

What can a volunteer expect from the BDA?

  1. A clearly defined role before you take it on so you know exactly what it involves.

  2. The support of the BDA to help undertake the role, including a named supervisor who will offer on-going support and regular supervision.

  3. To receive appropriate training in the work you do.

  4. To have expenses reimbursed.

  5. Insurance cover under the BDA’s Public and Employer’s Liability cover.
