The minimum age for applying to be a Mentor is 18, there is no maximum age limit, and we ask that you commit to a minimum of twelve hours Mentoring time, this can be face to face, over the phone or via email. Please note: As a pilot project, the scheme has a particular focus in London, South-East England and Scotland. It may be possible to offer mentoring via email and or telephone contact at a distance.

Group Mentoring is generally a half day session (minimum of an hour and a half) with a maximum of five Mentees, to allow for an informal, personal and mutaully beneficial session. We ask that group mentors commit to one session, with a view to holding more sessions at a later date.

A one-day training programme organised by the BDA will be available to mentors.
