Dyslexia Awareness Week 2014
Monday 3rd November to Sunday 9th November 2014.
Dyslexia Awareness Week runs from November 3 to November 9 2014 and is an annual event that aims at not just raising awareness, but also showcasing the amazing achievements that people with dyslexia have made. This year’s theme is “Dyslexia Matters...” and will cover everything from creating a dyslexia friendly environment, supporting and encouraging those with dyslexia, and our ongoing campaign to include dyslexia awareness in initial teacher training.
This year we have two posters and information packs available, one for the workplace and one for education. The PDFs are below and the JPEGs above. We are happy for you to print from whichever file you find easiest.
Aside from the resources we usually offer, the B.D.A. is also holding a number of events during the week including a mentoring and entrepreneur’s event on November 4 and an author's event with Tom McLaughlin, Sally Gardner and the British Dyslexia Association on November 6 at the Bloomsbury Institute. A full list of the events the B.D.A. currently have planned can be found by following this link.
We are very excited for this year's week and would also love to hear what you have planned, so please send information about your events and fundraising efforts so we can share them.
