BDA Employer’s Conference- Seeing It Differently
Waterloo, London, Tuesday 2nd November 2010.
This one-day conference focuses on the visual perception aspects of dyslexia and assesses the costs and benefits of providing reasonable adjustments for employees.
Professor John Stein, from the University of Oxford, will be the conference keynote speaker and will present on the topic of visual processing and dyslexia.
Other speakers include:
- Professor Arnold J. Wilkins- University of Essex- Increasing reading speed by using colour.
- John Fingleton- Chief Executive, Office of Fair Trading- Dyslexia related initiatives at the OFT.
- Richard Tennyson- Director of Wholesale for BT and BDA Mentor- How the business benefits.
- Dr Kate Saunders- BDA Chief Educational Officer- A practical approach to how the visual brain operates.
- Margaret Malpas- BDA Chair- New ways to support dyslexic staff – results from the BDA’s latest pilot programme.
The conference will be followed by an evening event including a display of work by dyslexic artists. Tickets for the evening event (5pm- 8pm) are £10 for BDA charitable funds.
Conference Price: £249 plus VAT, or £235 plus VAT early bird before 15 September 2010.
