The following information should be used as a guide to BDA accreditation of your course. If you experience any problems, please contact your Accreditation Board Liaison Team.
- Detailed CVs of the course leaders, lecturers or tutors.
- Details of:
- the course reading list and recommended teaching materials and assessment tests; and
- resources available including access to ICT.
- Detailed lecture programme to clarify the time allotted to various topics.
- Specification of the number of hours for tutorials and seminars.
- Extent and nature of assignments.
- Standards or performance criteria by which observed teaching and testing of a pupil will be judged.
- Proformas on which to record the observed teaching and testing.
- Practical arrangements for the observation of teaching and for the assessment of learners.
- Details of:
- the age range of the learners to be taught or assessed;
- minimum number of contact hours.
- Total contact time, e.g. hours of individual teaching per learner.
- Details of external validating body.
- Internal and external arrangements for moderating exams and quality assurance.
- Entry qualifications for course members.
- Permission for access to course work as required.
