Building on the success of the 7th BDA International Conference ‘Dyslexia ~ Making Links’ in March 2008, the British Dyslexia Association are running another event in the UK specifically for practitioners in UK and the rest of Europe comprising of Master Classes and interactive training seminars based on research and practice on a range of subjects across the 5 days.

Work and Pensions Minister Agrees to launch the BDA's Employers' Conference. The conference will be held in London on 9 March 09. It will feature case studies from trailblazing organisations in police, banking, finance, health and care sectors. Already speakers from Lloyds TSB, PWC, Ernst and Young, Hendon Police College, Quantum Care, NIACE and others have agreed to present.

'The Mere Parents' Guide to Education Law'
If you have children with SENs and need to understand more about educational law and LEA practice then this is for you!
This 2 day course looks at the law around SEN, Exclusions and Disability Discrimination. It also includes new Tribunal arrangements and issues on exclusions. It will enable you to ct as an informed participant in supporting your child's educational needs.
It is suitable for any parent with a child who is on School Action/ School Action Plus or who has a Statement of Special Educational Needs, and also for BDA befrienders.
