The BDA Spring Convention took place on Saturday 14 June 2008.
Notes of the Spring Convention
The LAB Regional Amendment Proposal and Annex 1, Annex 2, Annex 3 and Annex 4 formed the basis of part of the discussions within the Membership proposal at the Spring Convention.
Those present were in broad agreement that the Local Association Board (LAB) regions should coincide with the Government Office Regions (Annex 2).
The BDA Management Board approved this proposal when it met on 26 June 2008.
Next steps
A consultation group consisting of representatives of the LAB and BDA Trustees will consider a more detailed membership proposal to merge Local Dyslexia Associations (LDAs) and Support Groups (SGs). LDAs and SGs will be consulted on the proposal between now and the AGM on 15 November when members will be invited to vote on the proposal.
